A. Overview of Position
The SIFF National Academy Patron (NAP) performs a safety and supervising role for the academy athletes. The patron shall ensure that the athletes maintain strict order and timing with regards to their daily programme and ensures that the overall environment is safe and conducive for the goals of the programme.
B. Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the NAP shall include the following:
- Dormitory Supervision: supervising activities in the dormitory and ensuring players comply with rest times, study times and keeping general order within the academy environment.
- Mentoring: Providing support and leadership for athletes and requesting support for athletes that requires support.
- Health, Compliance and Safety: Ensure that dormitory, kitchen, dining hall, training venue and meeting rooms comply with safety regulations and protocols to prevent injuries including reporting any sick athlete for medical attention as required. This includes the coordination of an emergency response plan in response to any incident that threatens the safety of the athletes.
- Code of Conduct: Enforce the academy’s code of conduct, promoting discipline, respect, and sportsmanship among goalkeepers.
C. Daily Tasks and Duties:
The daily tasks and duties include the following:
– Ensure that athletes are timely with all academy programmes including training, meals, study and rest times
– Inspecting the dormitory for safety issues and reporting any such issues to the SIFF Property Manager for attention
– Keeping informed and educating the athletes about emergency preparedness and taking the lead in conducting any such activity in response to an emergency
– Ensuring that athletes maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and that daily cleaning of dormitory rooms are conducted
– Supervising any related rosters prepared for athletes in relation to cleaning their surroundings etc.
– Monitoring the safety and health of the athletes and requesting medical or other assistance should the need arise
D. Qualifications
The required qualifications for this position are:
- At least a SIF3 Certificate
- At least two (2) experience in coaching youth players.
Additionally, the applicant must either present prior training in computing or be able to demonstrate intermediate computer proficiency.
The applicant must not chew betel nut, smoke or consume alcohol. This position requires physical work and therefore we will seek a candidate that is fit/healthy.
The applicant shall be required to undergo FIFA Safeguard training within 2 weeks of engagement.
