KOSSA FC, Laugu United, and Henderson Eels secured valuable points

Match Week nine brings another weekend of thrilling club football action as Henderson Eels, Laugu United and KOSSA FC secured valuable points from respective wins.

Henderson Eels maintains form to beat Southern United 3-1 for a back-to-back win and move two places up the standing.

Cleophas Oriana opening header puts the young Chris Asipara side on the positive side at the break. Equally contested Southern United were determined to draw things level, however, a Jarome Makairamo miss pass deep inside his own half found a waiting Jack Junior Ani to extend the lead.

All to play for Southern United made a quick response and John Orobulu perfect scoring form continues to his tally. Ani then secured maximum points for Eels after being awarded a spot kick in additional time.

Benjamin Totori gets a hattrick and a goal each for Moffat Kilifa and Obed Ofea was enough to rub salt to Real Kakamora’s wound despite a consolation goal in a 5-1 defeat.

Kakamora’s dominate possession lacked the finishing instinct to record nine straight losses in the competition.

The matchday main fixture kicked off in a thrilling manner. Gagame Feni’s 9th minute curving effort caught an off-guard Philip Mango as the lone goal of a dramatic encounter.

It was a misfortune for Central Coast who had most of the opportunities and coming close but were denied luck as KOSSA FC held on for the win that puts them onto the top three spot.
