Kooline plays AS Pirae in OFC Futsal Champions League opener

SIPA Futsal League champions Kooline FC is set to present Solomon Islands at the inaugural OFC Futsal Champions League 2019 next month in Auckland, New Zealand. 

The men in blue earn the right to compete in the regional tournament after winning the 2019 SIPA Futsal League with a superior goal difference to runners-up Marist FC who finished the league equaled on 21 points with the champions.

Kurukuru’s Anthony Talo, Coleman Makau, Elis Mana, Arnold Maeluma and Alvin Hou will be aiming to maintain their winning form for Kooline after the recent OFC Futsal Nations Cup triumph with the national team. 

Following the OFC Futsal Champions League 2019 Draw conducted in Noumena on Thursday 31st October, Kooline will take on club champions from Tahiti, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, and New Zealand. 

The competition will be played in a single round-robin format with the top two teams qualify to the grand final on Sunday 8 December. 

Kooline and Tahiti champions AS Pirae will clash in the tournament opener on Thursday 5 December.
