The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) is looking for passionate, organized, and motivated individuals to join our team as League Coordinators for the upcoming 2025 League season. These positions will play a critical role in the smooth operation, coordination, and management of our national football leagues, ensuring they run effectively and meet SIFF’s high standards.
Positions Available:
- Men’s Super League Coordinator
- Solrais Women Premier League Coordinator
- U18 Men League Coordinator
- U18 Women League Coordinator
- U16 Men Youth League Coordinator
- U16 Women Youth League Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- League Management:
Oversee and manage all operational aspects of the assigned league, including scheduling, team communications, match day preparations, and compliance with SIFF rules and regulations.
- Match Coordination:
Coordinate with match officials, team managers, and venue operators to ensure all matches run smoothly and on time. Address any on-site issues or changes in schedules.
- Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of match results, disciplinary actions, and league standings. Prepare weekly and Final League reports for SIFF management.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary point of contact for team officials, referees, and sponsors involved in the league. Provide regular updates and ensure all stakeholders are informed of schedules, rules, and changes.
- Promotion & Marketing: Work alongside SIFF’s media and communications team to promote the league, ensuring strong community and fan engagement through social media and local media outlets.
- Development Initiatives:
Support grassroots and youth development initiatives by coordinating league programs and ensuring they align with SIFF’s vision for talent development.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Sports Management:
Previous experience in football administration, event management, or sports coordination is highly desirable.
- Strong Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization.
- Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively engage with players, coaches, referees, and sponsors.
- Problem-Solving Ability:
Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills to handle any matchday challenges or scheduling conflicts.
- Passion for Football:
A deep understanding of the game of football, its rules, and the local football landscape in the Solomon Islands.
- Computer Literacy:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and other relevant software for managing schedules, reports, and communication.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, especially on match days.
- Ability to travel to match venues within the Solomon Islands, as required.
- A valid driver’s license is an asset but not required.
