Honiara Football Association (HFA) coaches have identified 24 players for the two Honiara teams for the upcoming National invitational Beach Soccer Championship next month.
The selection was done in a championship held today at Foxwood beach consist of five teams who compete in a single round-robin tournament.
HFA Development Officer, Richard Fugui was pleased to see a good turn out for the mini-tournament which give his coaching team to select players who will be representing Honiara.
Fugui stressed that the championship is not about winning but a platform to see who deserved a place in the capital city teams. He added that the final 12-man squads will be announced next week.
Notable faces who could earn a place in the Honiara teams are Anthony Talo, Philip Mango, McPhilip Aisa, Thomas Amasia and Charlie Otainao.The National Invitational Beach Soccer Championship will take place in Honiara from Monday 9 November to Saturday 14 November 2020 at DC Park. #NIBC20
