Henderson Eels FC clinched their second successive Solrais Women’s Premier League (SWPL) title finishing the season five points clear at the top of the league standings with 46 points.
Eels declared winners on Sunday and earned the right to represent the Solomon Islands in the OFC Women’s Champions League 2025.
Naha FC claimed the runners-up spot for the first time in the club’s history, finishing on 41 points, just one point ahead of third-placed RSIPF Royals, who ended with 40 points for the second time.
SIFF President, Donald Marahare, reflected on the league’s successful conclusion as a significant milestone in the development of the women’s game.
“We’ve made great strides to reach these achievements. Everyone who has played a role in this success deserves recognition,” Marahare said.
He also highlighted the continual improvements in the standard of play and the professionalism shown by clubs, managers, and players.
SWPL Board Vice Chair, Antoinette Wickham, praised the competing teams and expressed gratitude to their sponsors for their unwavering support in advancing women’s football in the country.
“To the sponsors, your commitment to inspire and your contributions have been instrumental in the success of this women’s league season,” Wickham stated.
