The Guadalcanal Provincial Football Association (GFA) has become the first recipient of the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Administration Grants for 2024.
Last week, GFA President Leeroy Siovi received $50,000 in administration grants for the first and second quarters of the year to implement its football development programs that align with the federation’s vision.
This grant is a result of the provincial association’s successful completion of its development programs and requirements mandated by the governing body.
SIFF CEO Leonard Paia congratulated the GFA President on this achievement and assured continued support to foster the development of football in the province.
GFA President Siovi expressed his gratitude towards the federation for their unwavering support in the past years and promised a positive collaboration this year.
Siovi emphasized that the grant was not just for fulfilling the requirements of the federation, but it was also to promote the betterment of the game.
He added that the association would continue to work closely with SIFF to develop football in the province for another year, as he also encourages other provincial association members to work together.
The purpose of this grant support is to assist PFAs in improving their governance and managing their activities.
