Leading sport governing body – the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) today (Wednesday 9th) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to forge a partnership to provide High – Performance opportunities for football with the Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport (SINIS).
This means football will now benefit from the High – Performance trajectory system, a first of its kind for footballers overall in the country.
SIFF President William Lai following the brief signing highlighted the significance of the partnership.
“The signing signifies the importance of sports development as a whole, and we are pleased to be part of this national initiative – altogether creating a pathway for all sports into the future,” Lai remarked
He said that with the MOU, his executive shares the same vision, and these High – Performance opportunities will further complement football establishment to the elite level.
“This partnership will help us work towards accomplishing our national target at the XVII Pacific Games – and we have something whole to look forward to it.SINIS Team Sports Performance Manager Amanda Korinihona congratulate SIFF for taking up the national initiative while assuring them the High – Performance programs and services has detailed plans to uplift the quality of football for all codes.
