The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Referee Development Department confirmed eight of the top FIFA badge referees in the country will be officiating in this year’s Sol2023 Pacific Games in Honiara.
Following recommendations made, the Oceania Football Federation (OFC) confirms the host Member Association (MA) has the majority number of match-officials for the Men’s and Women’s football competition at the games in November.
The team of officials consisted mostly of distinguished honors – officiating in FIFA-sanctioned events throughout the past decade.
Match referees are, Ben Aukwai, Bernard Mutukera, Jefferey Solodia, Timothy Niu, Natalia Lumukana, and Shama Maemae. Fitness Instructor Hugo Hebala and Referee Technical Instructor Neil Poloso.
SIFF Referee Development Officer Hamilton Siau said it will indeed be a proud event for the officials also representing the country here on home soil.
