BANK South Pacific (BSP) has supported the country’s Under-19 women’s team in their preparation for the OFC U19 women’s championship.
The Bank in a statement said it was honoured to support the ladies in their preparation for the competition.
“BSP is always keen to assist communities in which it operates hence we are very honoured to have given this chance again to deliver to the Under 19 women’s football team some shirts, caps and drinking bottles as they are about to travel to the Cook Islands to represent Solomon Islands at the OFC U19 women’s championship.
“We respect, value and support the communities in which we operate,” the bank said.
BSP said the popularity of women’s football in the Solomon Islands is growing and BSP is pleased to do its part in assisting the team with their preparation.
After the experienced gained in the recent game against the Australian Junior Matildas, the competition in the Cook Islands will be the next step in developing their skills and experience, the statement added.
“On behalf of BSP we wish you all the best in the Cook Islands OFC U19 women’s championship,” the statement said.
