Bilikiki and Tiki Toa head-to-head for Saturday’s final

The stage is set for an anticipated showdown as the Solomon Islands Bilikiki and Tahiti lock horns in the final of the OFC Beach Soccer Men’s Nations Cup 2024 tomorrow, Saturday 26, at 3:00 pm at the SIFF Academy Beach court.

Two of the region’s beach soccer powerhouses promise an exhilarating display and tomorrow’s winner will not only return as Champions but earn a ticket to Seychelles, East Africa for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025.

This morning, Bilikiki Captain Charlie Otainao and Tahiti Captain Raimana Li Fung-Kuee go face to face for what arguably will be a thriller.

Bilikiki Captain Charlie Otainao is determined to lift the trophy and regain the beach pride now on home soil.

“The team is looking forward to tomorrow’s final, it will be a challenging task to go up once again to the experienced Tiki Toa side, but we have to be focused and stick to what we have prepared for coming into this competition,” the marksman Charlie told SIFF Media.

With a solid mix of experienced and youthful energy in the Bilikiki setup, they have shown resilience during the past 3 days of competition and have been exceptional despite going down to Fiji on penalties in their final group match.

“Tomorrow we want to create history.

 Charlie alongside his vice-captain, Thomas Amasia both made the call to the home fans to come out in numbers and rally the support behind the team in tomorrow’s grand final.

Led by the former talismanic figure in the football code, James Naka, the Bilikiki will rely on his experience and leadership to inspire the bunch once more.

In the 3rd Place playoff, Papua New Guinea (PNG) will take on Fiji at 1:00 pm.

Pre-selling of tickets will be available at the SIFF Headquarters this afternoon, only limited tickets will be available; Adults $20.00, and Children $5.00.
