SIFF has signed a sponsorship agreement with JQY company this afternoon for the National Beach Soccer in May.
The sponsorship of SBD$50,000 will allow SIFF to boost prizes for the upcoming championship and JQY gets the naming rights.
Signing the sponsorship is SIFF president William Lai, CEO Leonard Paia and JQY manager Yang Jian Qing.
Lai was pleased a renowned local company has decided to come on board to support beach soccer.
“This is a significant development for us since we never had such sponsor in the past,” he said.
“We have decided to increase the prize money and this financial is a boost for the upcoming national championship.”
JQY’s Yang said his company is happy to support a national event for the first time.
“We have never sponsored a major national event before and my company is happy to help SIFF in a small way of giving back to the community,” Yang said.
“This is the first time and we are willing to continue this relationship in the future.”
The Mariner Outboard National Beach Soccer Championship will be held from 15-22 May 2021 in Honiara.
