ANOTHER NIGHT FOR FOOTBALL QUEENS

Another season of the Solraise Women’s Premier League (SWPL2021) was ended successfully on Saturday night at the Coral Sea Resort and Casino with the official closing and presentations of awards.

The presentation night that participated by all the players from the ten clubs that competed in the League, along with representatives from the country sporting body and Ministry was well-fashioned, as a dining table for each club and Officials with slow limps of the beats of the music from the live band ‘Point Of View( POV) was served.

Giving out his final remarks during the program, the Major sponsor of Solraise SWPL, Solrais Solomon Island Company Limited country Manager James Bradford said solrais once again is very proud to be able to support the Solomon Island women’s through sports, mainly in football.

“Tough challenges and the spectacular teamwork and skill have been given out in the preparation of the Women’s Premier League.

“In the meantime, the league will have its break and I would like to thank the organizing body, officials and the grounds support for the dedication, motivation and commitment in running the show.

“Not forgetting our families back home for their support and respect towards the League that finally ended tonight. Congratulations to all the ten clubs that participated in the League and a huge one goes for the winning teams,” said Bradford.

He further added that Solrais will still be part of the Solomon Island Women’s Premier League in the next year 2022 as he urges the players to keep playing for one day you will reach the level of their football dream on the international stage.

Solomon Island Football Federation (SIFF) Vice President Marlon Houkarawa also stated that SIFF is so proud to see the successful completion of SWPL.“A huge acknowledgement goes to the sponsors and the owners of the DC Park for allowing SWPL to use their playground.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the board of the SWPL Ronald O’Grady said this is a great celebration of women football in the country and I would like to thank SIFF and the Major sponsors for the effort in making this a successful one.

“Not forgetting the people who are behind the scene, especially the match officials, SIFF women Department Officers and individuals for their support and I promise that a bigger one is coming on the next year 2022.

“Thank you Coral Sea Resort and Casino for providing us the venue for the presentation program,” he said.

However, the order of the Presentation Award saw as follows.Final standing for the SWPL 2021 League Proper and the SWPL Top 8 Championship is as follows:

SWPL SEASON PROPER1st- RSIPF Royals FC ($50,000)-with Gold medal and Trophy

2nd- Solright Eels FC ($25,000)-with Silver Medal

3rd- Frigates United FC ($15,000)-With Bronze Medal4th- Koloale FC ($10,000)

SWPL TOP 8 CHAMPIONSHIP

1st- $10,000 with Trophy – Koloale FC

2nd-$8,000- Frigates FC

3rd-$6,000-Solright Eels FC

4th-$4,000-RSIPF Royals FC
